The surface treatment of the plant pad is inspired by the waffles and coarse linen fabrics from childhood. It seeks a balance and sense of satisfaction between scoring, pressing, and the scattering of grains. A specially crafted earthy yellow glaze is applied in four layers, creating varying tones and forming a timeless and classic checkered pattern.

Handcrafted from mixed clay, resists decay even after prolonged soaking and water absorption, offering enhanced water retention and breathability. Transparent mounting fixtures keep the board 1 cm away from the wall, preventing direct contact between the moist board and the wall, thereby avoiding mold growth.
